Köster

A stage for building expertise

When construction expertise takes shape as a space, the result is more than just a workplace: Köster’s new working environment brings construction processes, technology and materials to life. Raw, authentic, bathed in light – a living showroom that fosters a sense of identity and showcases future-oriented office design.

Making an impression with architecture

An entrance hall that extends a warm welcome: spacious. Open. Flooded with light. The reception area sets the tone from the very start – with warm materials, finely orchestrated lighting and an atmosphere that is more than just functional. The atrium – staged as the focal point of arrival – meets a striking acoustic wall. Exposed concrete, screed, open ceilings: no coincidence, but narrative substance. Architecture to be experienced, not hidden away. Lines of light guide the eye, lead the way through the building, and create accents as if drawn with a ruler. Here, form takes the lead.

A building site as a stage

What is it like to build? In Köster’s world of experience, the invisible becomes visible – and the complex becomes understandable. A building site you can touch, explore and marvel at. Multisensory. True to the materials. Interactive. Glimpses, flashbacks, shifts in perspective: the exhibition becomes a space of discovery. And right at its heart? The story of Köster – told in a concise way, but clearly presented.

Space for encounters

Good ideas need space. And spaces in between. Whether it’s a bright canteen with a bar, corridors offering opportunities to meet, or lounge areas with a sense of space – this is where connections are forged. Kitchenettes and meeting corners, designed with flexibility in mind and executed with aesthetic clarity. Oak timber and well-thought-out visual concepts create an atmosphere in which communication flourishes. Almost as an afterthought.

Shaping the future together

Modern tasks call for flexible, creative and collaborative working environments. Alongside the workstations, we have designed open-plan spaces that prioritise innovation and collaboration – such as a VR room, flexibly configurable project rooms, conference areas and modular meeting zones.

Construction process

From the initial concept through to the final implementation, we were able to provide comprehensive support for the interior design of the Köster branch in Mülheim throughout all phases of the project – with passion, creative precision and a clear eye for the bigger picture. Alongside the distinctive interior design style, the on-site experience is shaped by well-thought-out details such as the building’s signage, an inspiring showroom and an evocative visual concept for the corridors.
