In the beginning was the universe. The term for a beautiful, orderly, virtuous world. In this world, a monk once laid his bureau over the unpolished wood of his first writing desk to protect his precious possessions (parchment and manuscripts). The bureau was an office desk covered with a cloth and the very embodiment of quality and care. Today, the cultural environment in the office is dominated by economic rationality and increasingly clashes with the original concept of the „office“ and the needs of staff. Yet quality in a person’s environment is the strongest motivating factor – closely followed by care in how things are handled. This was incentive enough for Stadler Anlagenbau, the specialist in the waste management and recycling industry, to work with the general contractor Reisch to create 850 square metres of new space. Space for a new working environment where work and regeneration are in harmony.
