Through workshops and strategic processes, we work with clients, user groups and project stakeholders to clarify objectives, requirements, priorities and decision-making processes. We organise the various interests and translate them into a shared project strategy.

Site and potential analyses, demand forecasts, project definitions and initial development scenarios provide clarity on opportunities, interdependencies and risks. This creates a reliable basis for further planning, investment and implementation.

We examine the site, existing buildings, planning regulations, structural requirements, space requirements and usage patterns. Requirement and usage analyses form the basis for spatial and functional programmes, development concepts and initial spatial and structural options. We evaluate the various scenarios in terms of use, design, feasibility of obtaining planning permission and cost-effectiveness. This provides a sound basis for decision-making before the project moves on to the detailed design phase.

We develop urban planning and architectural concepts, master plans and phased development strategies for new and existing sites. In doing so, we consider the distribution of land uses, density, building structure, open spaces, infrastructure, mobility and public spaces in their overall context.

Together with property owners, local authorities and other stakeholders, we are developing a long-term vision for the site. This provides guidance for individual construction phases whilst remaining flexible to changing requirements.

We plan new builds as well as conversions, extensions, refurbishments and changes of use for existing buildings. For existing buildings, we analyse their spatial, structural and design qualities and examine how these can be preserved, further developed or complemented by new interventions.

In the case of listed buildings, we combine a responsible approach to preserving the building’s heritage with contemporary usage requirements. Design, construction, building services, accessibility and energy efficiency requirements are coordinated at an early stage with specialist planners and heritage conservation experts.

We design exhibition pavilions, temporary cultural and event venues, pop-up structures, brand spaces and flexible spatial systems. In doing so, we view architecture, visitor flow, construction and programme planning as an integrated whole.

Materials, regulatory compliance, fire safety, transport, assembly, dismantling and reuse are all taken into account right from the start. Through the interplay of interior design, product design, communication design and motion design, spaces, exhibition elements, graphics and media content can emerge from a shared concept.
